Since its starting by the end of 1996, the ImageNETion website has been free.

We're torn between two ideals. One, to keep it free, sharing all the scans we get with anyone who appreciates pin-ups/ fantasy/ sci-fi/ digital/ comics arts, obviously respecting the more than deserved copyright issues. We all must do our part. That said, as we float back to Earth, we find that day to day life imposes real pressures and predicaments. Sometimes those pressures can cause our ideals to wear a little thin.

To keep a mega website like ImageNETion we pay monthly rentals for an Internet Service Provider, for NINE web servers, subscriptions for paid websites and newsgroup services, payment for broadband internet provider, and other related costs. Besides, it takes us a large amount of time navigating, searching, evaluating, selecting, downloading, coding in HTML, and uploading a lot of image stuff, to be able to make available to all of you more than 48,000 high-resolution scans.

The monthly revenues weīve got from the banner ads placed in our web pages, both fixed and pop-ups, have severely dropped during the last months. Right now, actually, they arenīt enough to pay even 20% of our fixed costs.

The ImageNETion website is DONATIONWARE. Help yourself as you wish. But, if you like it, if they save you the time and the money to navigate, search, evaluate, download, etc. to get nice scans, if those cool images are giving you the pleasure to collect and admire them, if you think that my hard work and expenses deserve some compensation, we would like to ask you for a US$ 1.00 (one american dollar) donation. If you can afford more, then please send US$ 2.00, or US$ 3.00, whatever you think it's worth, whatever you can afford. Unfortunately, I can only accept US$ dollars via PayPal.

Keep in mind payment is 100% voluntary. If you don't have any extra money right now then don't worry about it. Use the stuff with a clear conscience. Send something later if and when you can.
